Exciting New Trend
There is an exciting new trend in dentistry today. More and more people are booking appointments with us, not because they have a problem with their teeth but because they want to enjoy the many benefits that aesthetic dentistry has to offer. People are learning that a healthy attractive smile can provide self-confidence and open doorways in both their personal lives and careers.
A beautiful smile is always in style. If you are unhappy about your smile you owe it to yourself to explore the possibilities of smile enhancing dentistry.
Some of the more popular smile enhancing treatments being performed at our dental office include crowns and bridges, veneers, in-office teeth whitening, take-home teeth whitening, white fillings, lumineers, inlays, and onlays.
Crowns & Bridges
Both crowns and bridges are prosthetic devices that are cemented onto already existing teeth or implants.
Crowns cover an entire tooth. The purpose is to protect a damaged tooth or to enhance its appearance. Crowns are suggested to patients who experience a fractured tooth, to cover a dental implant, a tooth that has had a root canal, or to replace a filling when there is not enough tooth left.
Bridges are suggested when one or more teeth are missing. Empty spaces left by missing teeth can cause teeth to shift over time. Like a crown, bridges are cemented to the remaining teeth or implants. With proper care, both crowns and bridges can last a lifetime.
Porcelain veneers are ultra-thin laminates of porcelain that are bonded to the front of teeth. The veneers allow the dentist to change the colour and/or the shape of the teeth. They are the best in aesthetic dentistry.
In-Office Whitening Treatment
Our professional whitening system work magic as they brighten discoloured teeth. This treatment is done in our office and the results are better and quicker.
Take-Home Whitening Kit With Custom Trays
Our at-home whitening kits are custom-fitted in our clinics; similar to a night or sports guard. The gel is placed into the trays which are placed in the mouth either overnight or for a few hours.
Made of a tooth coloured resin material, these fillings match your existing teeth shade to provide you with a smile that looks clean and natural. With this resin compound bonding to your teeth, the seal is tighter and the restored tooth can be stronger than ever before.
Lumineers are a great alternative to veneers. They are ultra-thin and replicate the natural appearance of tooth enamel. The appointment structure for lumineers is the same for crowns and veneers; in the first visit the tooth is prepared and impressions are taken for the laboratory. The second appointment is when the lumineer gets cemented.
Inlays & Onlays
Inlays are a long-lasting and aesthetic alternative material for fillings. Inlays not only cover the top of the tooth but also inside the cusp, curve and ridge.
Onlays are made of the same material as inlays however, it extends over the cusp.
